The historic two-day Republican midterm convention has officially wrapped up in Dallas, as President Trump and Vice President JD Vance made their remarks this evening.

The event, aimed at driving the GOP vote for November, had a multitude of speakers over the two days, with the two highest office holders in the land making the closing remarks Thursday night.

The Vice President spoke before President Trump, and reflected on the recent birth of his son as we approach the election.

"So, to the radicals, who wish to abolish my family and the millions of others across the country...we have a simple message for them...stay the hell away from our kids," Vance said.

The Vice President also in the middle of his speech had to deal with an unruly protestor, who interrupted him while waiving a Mexican flag. Vance had a simple response.

"My friend, if you love Mexico so much, get your (expletive) over there, I will buy the plane ticket," Vance said to a thunderous cheer from the crowd.

The President took the stage to close out the event after Vance. After speaking for over an hour on Wednesday, Trump kept his speech on Thursday a bit shorter. But he did once again pitch the idea of a $5,000 check to American adults if the GOP holds control of Congress.

"Our country has never done better...we are taking in trillions of dollars," Trump said. "We love our adults; it is about time we take care of our adults."

Top cap off the historic event, Trump also did his usual bit of joking with the crowd, while encouraging them to vote.

"You know what happened if you don't vote right? You go to hell," Trump said, to which the crowd laughed.

Trump noted to the voters that even though he is not on the ballot, they should "vote and pretend" that he is on the ballot.
