It's been 25 years since the 9/11 terror attacks rocked our world. For most Americans, today is a day of reflection. But what are some of the lasting lessons that we learned?
"The vulnerability that we didn't know that we had 25 years ago" said retired Lt. Colonel, Bob Maginnis, "That our own aircraft could plow into the World Trade Center and The Pentagon, and then crash in Pennsylvania."
And there are also some lessons that maybe we have forgotten.
"We should not forget the sacrifice of the 3,000 Americans that were murdered that morning" Maginnis told KTRH, while noting that the threat is still there. In fact, it's now actually worse.
"These are all issues of grave consequence that we need to never forget" noted Maginnis, "It can happen here again, so we need to be resilient, we need to be on our guard recognizing the nature of man, and that we have many enemies out there."
Many enemies, both foreign and domestic, here in the U.S. Something that we can never forget.
