This Time Republicans Didn't Cave, It Was The Democrats

One of the big questions during the longest shutdown in government history has been, when would the Republicans cave? Well, this time they didn't. It was the Democrats. So what happened?

"Donald Trump happened" said host and Republican strategist, Matt Locke, "Really, in the end you have a field general in Donald Trump that told the Republican Party, we're not doing things as usual."

With that said, Locke said it was not a total lock, as there were some RINO's who really wanted to cave.

"It all started with the 'sombrero meme' that showed you exactly what the Democrats were doing, wanting to pay for illegal alien health care" Locke told KTRH, "They wanted to cave, Trump put his boot right square in their backside and told them they weren't going anywhere, and that's why we're at where we are at today."

But there is also another reason why the Democrats caved, that cannot be overlooked.

"The phone lines started burning up on Capitol Hill because these big healthcare companies, they like the gravy train" noted Locke, "It was the special interests and the lobbyists that ended the shutdown."

This time, forcing the Democrats to cave. Hopefully, Republicans can continue to stand their ground in the future.
