Wednesday is the eight day of the federal government shutdown. Here is the latest:
- Breitbart reports that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries rejected a proposal to extend Obamacare subsidies for a year. This was exactly what the Democrats had been fighting for, so essentially they rejected an olive branch.
- Texas Senator Ted Cruz told Fox's Laura Ingraham on Tuesday that Republicans have voted consistently to keep the government open, while Democrats have not.
- Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett went on MSNBC and claimed that democrats are in the right, even though polling shows that Americans disagree.
- There was no ground stop at the airports in Houston Tuesday night despite speculation they were possible. As of now the FAA website does not sow any planned stoppage for Texas airports. That, however, could change due to staffing issues.
