Following Wednesday's assassination of activist and influencer Charlie Kirk, the internet has exploded with both support for Kirk and his family, but also support for his killer and his death.

Leftists employed as teachers, college professors, and even TV personalities and pilots have faced pushback from the right and their employers for openly cheering on Charlie Kirk's killer.

That includes an American Airlines pilot named Steve Holmes, who mocked Kirk online for being shot. Those Facebook posts were then shared with American Airlines, where Holmes was employed.

American Airlines issued a public statement on X, saying, "American Airlines condemns violence of any kind. Furthermore, hate-related or hostile behavior runs contrary to our purpose, which is to care for people on life’s journey. Any such behavior is unacceptable, and we have already initiated action to address this with our team."

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy later announced that the pilot had been grounded and called for American Airlines to fire Holmes.

Delta Airlines has also suspended multiple employees for similar comments.
