Police Now Looking For UH Sexual Assault Suspect Who Was Released From Jail

In the, you can't make this up department, the suspect in a sexual assault that took place on Friday night at a UH parking garage is now wanted by police after he was somehow released from jail following his arrest on Saturday.

The suspect, 40-year old Eric Latroy Brown is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of aggravated robbery after a student was attacked at 5:30 p.m. last Friday.

According to our tv partner, KPRC 2, a 21-year-old woman was approached by a suspect, identified as Brown, as she cleaned trash out of her car on the second floor of the Welcome Center Student Parking Garage on Wheeler Ave.

Brown approached the woman and asked for a pen, according to the records. When she replied she didn’t have one, Brown allegedly pushed her into her car and threatened her with a knife. At that point, Brown allegedly sexually assaulted her.

He was arrested later that night, and had to be tased after a struggle with officers who were patrolling the garage. Brown was then released from the Harris County Jail on Saturday.
