Consumers should be cautious of some toys that pose as risks to children when shopping this holiday season.
Here are some dangerous toys you'll want to stay away from if you're still Christmas shopping for young kids from the World Against Toys Causing Harm (W.A.T.C.H.) list:

Joan Siff, president of World Against Toys Causing Harm, Inc., said they try to alert parents of the different types of hazards that some toys posses.
"Most parents may be looking for the typical small parts choking hazard, but what we're concerned with is long slender objects that can also be a potential choking hazard," she said.

"Long hair on toys, if it's not adequately rooted, can be an ingestion hazard, and that's a category of potential hazards that we want to raise awareness about," said Siff.
According to Siff, 70% of all toys purchased in a year are bought during the holiday shopping season. Toy guns are another hot commodity to buy.
"What we're faced with is a tremendous amount of unsafe toys that are reaching toy store shelves," Siff added. "There have been multiple tragedies over the years when toy guns have been mistaken for real weapons."
Some toys can also contain lead and other toxins. Every year, the U.S. sees 150,000 or more toy-related deaths and injuries among children 14 and younger.
