Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a trip to Florida to meet with President-elect Donald Trump.

The flight Friday into West Palm Beach comes after Trump proposed placing tariffs on goods from both Canada and Mexico for them allowing for drugs and illegal immigrants to flow into the U.S. Trump has threatened to impose tariffs of up to 25% on the two countries.

A source close to the matter said Trudeau had dinner and talked with Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Canadian Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc also went with Trudeau on the trip. Trudeau is the first G-7 leader to visit with Trump since the election.

Trump has already spoke with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, doing so over the phone on Wednesday.
