After Special Counsel Jack Smith (who was appointed illegally) officially moved to drop the four felony January 6th related charges against the 45th and soon-to-be 47th President Donald Trump, the judge in the case, Democrat Tanya Chutkan has agreed to grant the request and drop the case.

Smith filed the motion to drop the charges earlier this morning, and now the bogus case has officially come to an end.

The case against Trump had already been put on hold after his defense argued that Trump could not be prosecuted due to his status as a former President. The recent Supreme Court ruling on Presidential Immunity, and questions about the legitimacy of Jack Smith's appointment to the role of special counsel, cast even more doubt over the case.

Now it seems that Trump's electoral victory on November 5th was the final nail in the prosecution's coffin. The issue is now in the hands of Judge Tanya Chutkan, who will have to approve Smith's request to drop the charges before the case can be dismissed.

Throughout the duration of the prosecution, Trump has maintained that he is innocent, and that this entire case was nothing more than an attempt by left-wing prosecutors and judges to keep him from returning to the White House.
