Bexar County is buying a defunct golf course and turning it into a new park. County Commissioners voted on Tuesday to approve the purchase of 160-acres on Woodlake Parkway near FM 78. The land is the former site of the Woodlake Golf Course, which operated from the 1970s until 2013. After months of negotiations, the seller agreed to a price of $4.5 million. The county plans to add a small parking lot, mow the grass, and do some trail work. The park doesn't yet have a name.
