Former President Trump outlined his preferred policies for the GOP if they win back control of Congress. During his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas, Trump said midterms need to be a "national referendum" on President Biden. He added that Republicans must make sure Democrats suffer a "crippling" defeat. Much of the speech centered around Republicans taking back control of Congress, with Trump saying the focus on the campaign trail should be holding the Biden administration accountable for rising crime and inflation, as well as issues at the southern border.
