The Saturday tweet from Matt Drudge went viral with both “Drudge” and “Drudge Report” becoming trending topics.
Drudge added that under that scenario, "Bloomberg himself would go as far as to change his official residence from New York to homes he owns in Colorado or Florida, since the electoral college makes it hard for a POTUS and VPOTUS from the same state…”
The Bloomberg campaign did not deny the potential ticket. CNBC reports "Jason Schechter, director of communications for the Bloomberg campaign, said in a statement to CNBC: “We are focused on the primary and the debate, not VP speculation.”
The New York Post quotes a "Bloomberg campaign insider" who says:
"the two have long been simpatico – going back to the days when she represented New York in the U.S. Senate and he was Gotham’s mayor. “I am sure that they polled it, just because you would be dumb not to wonder,” the insider said. “You want to see what a match-up might look like.”
