Iowa Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Using ‘McLovin’ Fake ID To Get Into Bar

Iowa City Press-Citizen reports:

A man was arrested after police say he was underage in a bar early Friday and had a fake Hawaii ID under the name "McLovin" in downtown Iowa City.

Daniel Alfredo Burleson, 20, of Des Moines, faces several alcohol-related charges in connection to the incident, according to Johnson County jail records.

Amazon searches for the fake Hawaii ID with the name and DOB for "McLovin" result in several versions for purchase as gifts, alongside fake IDs for Elvis Presley or the fictional cartoon character Homer Simpson.

The IDs were inspired by the 2007 teen comedy "Superbad" after a character who successfully purchased alcohol with a fake Hawaii ID under his self-proclaimed name "McLovin."
