Spurs sign rookie Blake Wesley, 25th overall NBA draft pick

The San Antonio Spurs announced midday Tuesday July 5th that they have signed rookie guard Blake Wesley, the #25 overall draft pick out of Notre Dame. As is standard with Spurs policy, the terms of the contract were not announced.

Wesley, who will wear number 14, is 6'5, 185 pounds and played one season with Notre Dame, leading the Fighting Irish in scoring with 14.4 points per game along with with 3.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists.

Wesley is 19 years old, born on March 16, 2003. He is a South Bend native and finished last season with 504-points, which is the fourth-most points by a freshman in Notre Dame history.

He was the only true freshmen in the country with at least 450 points, 100 rebounds, 75 assists, 50 three-pointers and 40 steals and earned a spot on the 2022 ACC All-Rookie Team and the 2022 All-ACC Second Team

Wesley will play for the Spurs in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas from July 7-17.
