1 Harris Targets Philadelphia While Trump Holds Rally In Madison Square Garden
One week from tomorrow Americans go to the polls to choose the next president, and the two major party candidates seem to have shifted their campaigns into high gear. Vice President Kamala Harris focused her attention on the battleground state of Pennsylvania yesterday, holding a large rally at a community basketball arena and spoke to a church in West Philadelphia, telling her supporters that if Trump wins America will have a president who is “full of grievance.” She also visited a barber shop in West Philly, where she talked about the importance of black teachers in classrooms. It was Harris’ 14th visit to Pennsylvania since she became the candidate in July. Former President Donald Trump had a capacity crowd at Madison Square Garden in New York City, where a large list of people appeared on stage to support him. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Dr. Phil McGraw, House Speaker Mike Johnson, Eric and Donald Trump Jr., Hulk Hogan, and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani all took turns at the mic. Also speaking and introducing her husband last night was former First Lady Melania Trump, one of her rare appearances this campaign.
2 Pennsylvania County Investigating Over 2,000 Fraudulent Voter Applications
During a press conference Friday, officials with Lancaster County, Pennsylvania announced that they had identified what they said were signs of a voter fraud operation in the area. Ray D’Agostino with the Lancaster County Board of Elections said that two separate batches of voter applications were dropped off at their office before last Monday’s registration deadline totalling around 2,500 applications, and employees processing the forms noticed several red flags, which included inaccurate addresses, duplicate handwriting on multiple forms, and inconsistent signatures. D’Agostino said “It doesn’t seem that it’s any one party. In some cases, they’re registering in different parties; in some cases, they’re just changing an address or appearing to change an address.” Lancaster County District Attorney Heather Adams said that investigators had found that about 60-percent of the forms they had reviewed were fraudulent. She also said that two other unnamed counties in Pennsylvania are reviewing similar batches of applications, saying, “It appears to be an organized effort at this point.” Officials emphasized during the press conference that the discovery of the fraudulent applications shows that their security protocols are working.
3 San Antonio Man Arrested For Allegedly Punching Poll Worker
A 63-year-old man was arrested late last week after he allegedly punched a poll worker at an early voting site in Texas after the worker asked him to take off his “Trump” baseball cap. He initially complied, cast his ballot, and then put his hat back on. When he was informed that it was still illegal to wear political items inside a polling place, Jesse Lutzenberger allegedly turned and “threw several punches right at the face” of the 69-year-old poll worker as he was being escorted out. Lutzenberger was booked into jail on charges of injury to an elderly person. Twenty-one states have laws prohibiting people from wearing campaign apparel in or near polling places.
