1 Vice-President Kamala Harris Fox News Interview
Vice President Kamala Harris participated in a combative interview with Bret Baier on Fox News yesterday. During the interview, Baier asked questions about immigration and what Harris would do differently as president from Joe Biden. “My presidency would not be a continuation of Joe Biden’s presidency,” she said, continuing “And like every new president that comes to office, I will bring my life experiences and professional experiences.” She finished her answer by saying “I represent a new generation of leadership.” The two frequently talked over each other during the half-hour interview, with Baier trying to press her on issues, while Harris insisted that she be allowed to finish her sentences. Brian Fallon, the communication director for the Harris campaign, said after the interview “We feel like we definitely achieved what we set out to achieve, in the sense that she was able to reach an audience that has probably been not exposed to the arguments that she’s been making on the trail.”

3 Florida Man Arrested For Threatening Utility Workers Who Were Restoring Power
A man was arrested yesterday in Hillsborough County, Florida for threatening utility workers. The crews were working on restoring power to the roughly 20,000 people still without electricity in the county and had traffic blocked; according to authorities 57-year-old Kenneth Ray Velasco grew impatient at the traffic delay, backed into a utility pole and a fence, and then attempted to leave. The utility workers tried to keep him from leaving the scene, and he allegedly drove toward the workers in a deliberate manner, causing them to jump out of the way. Officials said he also threatened to shoot the workers. Velasco was reportedly arrested without incident and charged with aggravated assault and felony criminal mischief for vandalism of property.
