1 Two More Election Interference Charges Dropped Against Trump/Trump Says No To Another Debate

Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee, who’s overseeing the Georgia election interference case against former President Donald Trump and others, issued another ruling yesterday. McAfee threw out three more of the counts in the indictment, two of which were against Trump. The counts dismissed related to the filing of false documents in federal court, with the judge saying the state didn’t have the authority to bring charges for crimes allegedly committed against the federal government. Trump still faces eight of the original 13 counts against him in the case. Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris continued to push for a second debate with Trump during a campaign rally in Charlotte, North Carolina yesterday, repeating her comment that everyone heard the “same old tired playbook” from the former president. It doesn’t look like it’s going to happen, though; Trump said in an interview yesterday that “pretty much everything was discussed, and you want to get on with your business.” He added, “We just don’t think it’s necessary. We had the two,” referring to this week’s debate with Harris and the one in June with President Joe Biden.

2 Springfield Ohio Sees Multiple Bomb Threats

During Tuesday night’s presidential debate, former President Donald Trump mentioned the claims that immigrants were eating pets and other animals in Springfield, Ohio. Yesterday morning, there were bomb threats to “multiple agencies and media outlets” in the city. The threat was sent in an email, and it sparked a large police response, including explosive-detecting dogs who helped clear multiple facilities mentioned in the threat, including two elementary schools and City Hall. The FBI is working with Springfield police to identify who sent the threat.

3 Justice Department And FBI Preparing Criminal Charges In Iran Hack Of Trump Campaign

A source has told the Associated Press that the Justice Department is getting ready to file criminal charges in connection with the Iranian hack that targeted Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. The charges are reportedly the result of an FBI investigation into the effort that investigators from multiple agencies say was part of an Iranian attempt to influence American politics. No information has been made available about when the charges might be announced or who they’re targeting.
