1 Three First Responders Killed Responding To Domestic Violence Call In Minnesota
Police were called out early yesterday in Burnsville, Minnesota to “a call of a family in danger,” according to Minnesota Gov. Tim Waltz. Before the incident was over, two police officers and a first responder were dead. The three slain responders were identified in a statement as officers Paul Elmstrand and Matthew Ruge, and firefighter and paramedic Adam Finseth. The incident was called a “domestic violence situation” by Drew Evans, the Superintendent of the bureau of Criminal Apprehension, who said there were seven children between the ages of two and 15 in the home with the suspect. There had been no prior calls for service at the home or regarding the shooter, who was pronounced dead around 8 am.
2 Two Women Found Dead In Colorado Dorm Identified
Two victims who were found dead inside a dorm room on the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs campus have been identified. According to the El Paso County Coroner’s Office yesterday, the victims were 26-year-old Celie Rain Montgomery and 24-year-old Samuel Knopp, and their deaths are being investigated as homicides. The Colorado Springs Police Department posted to X Friday night, saying that the incident “does not appear to be a murder-suicide.”

Former President Trump made an appearance at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia over the weekend to launch his new line of “Trump Sneakers.” The shoes come in three price points ranging from $99 to $399, with the most expensive version being named the “NEVER SURRENDER HIGH-TOP SNEAKER.” Trump said at the podium that the sneakers were “something I’ve been talking about for 12 years, 13 years, and I think it’s going to be a big success.” The website selling the sneakers also has perfume and cologne for sale for $99. Biden campaign spokesman Michael Tyler issued a statement saying, “Donald Trump showing up to hawk bootleg Off-Whites is the closest he’ll get to any Air Force Ones ever again for the rest of his life.”
