1 Car Crash In Rochester New York Yesterday Being Investigated As Terrorism

An unusual case is unfolding in Rochester, New York after a multiple car crash yesterday. Two people were killed and five others injured after a Ford Expedition hit a Mitsubishi Outlanders that was leaving the parking lot near the Kodak Center after a concert just before 1 a.m. Two occupants of the Mitsubishi were killed, and the two drivers and three pedestrians were taken to the hospital with injuries. The crash caused a fire that took firefighters around an hour to extinguish, and once the fire was out they found something that changed the case. First responders found at least a dozen gasoline canisters in and around the Ford Expedition, which has led to the crash being investigated as a possible act of terrorism by the Joint Terrorism Task Force. The driver of the Ford drove his own vehicle to the Syracuse airport and rented the extra-large SUV that had the gas canisters in and around it. Rochester Mayor Malik Evans asked for anyone with information about the incident to come forward at a press briefing, and said “More information will come out as we are able to.”

2 Deadly 7.6 Earthquake Kills At Least Eight In Japan

Powerful earthquakes rocked the central west coast of Japan yesterday, damaging homes, prompting tsunami warnings, and leaving a death toll that reached a total of at least eight people. Tens of thousands were left without power, and a fire in Wajima City was affecting multiple homes. There was one round of tsunami waves measuring four feet, but nothing more. The tsunami warnings have been lifted, but authorities are warning people in the area that more major quakes could be coming in the next few days. Power companies that operate nuclear plants in the region say they’ve detected no problems so far, which has been confirmed by the Japanese government.
