1 Escaped Pennsylvania Killer Spotted Again, Has Changed His Appearance
There were new sightings over the weekend of escaped killer Danelo Cavalcante as the authorities admitted that the manhunt might become a national search. In a statement, the Pennsylvania State Police said that Cavalcante was sighted “in the northern Chester County area near Phoenixville” where he stopped at the home of a person he worked with years ago that wasn’t home. Lt. Col. George Bivens said at a news briefing yesterday afternoon that Cavalcante also visited the home of another former co-worker who was out but was seen on the home’s doorbell camera. Police also said yesterday that the fugitive has changed his appearance, including shaving his beard and mustache. He was seen driving a stolen van that was found abandoned in a field behind a barn in East Nantmeal Township, where police are now searching. Lt. Col. Bivens made no excuses for Cavalcante slipping through the perimeter law enforcement had set up to contain him, telling the press “There are a lot of circumstances, there are a lot of issues” with the area that make it hard to completely secure.
2 Hurricane Lee Will Bring Dangerous Surf And Rip Currents To East Coast This Week
The season’s first Category 5 hurricane was a Category 3 by yesterday afternoon, but could still restrengthen over the next few days. As of 10 p.m. last night, Lee had maximum sustained winds of 120 mph but was growing in size. Large swells were affecting parts of the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, and Bermuda, and the dangerous surf and rip currents are expected to spread to the East Coast throughout the week. The long-term track for Lee still isn’t clear, but a majority of forecast models show the storm turning north and passing between the East Coast and Bermuda. Officials haven’t issued any storm or hurricane watches or warnings for any place that could be in the path of the storm, but that could change as its path becomes more clear later this week.
3 Trump Attorneys Move Lawsuit Seeking To Ban Him From Ballot To Federal Court
As expected, attorneys for former President Donald Trump moved a lawsuit trying to bar him from running for the presidency again to a federal court instead of a state venue. The case comes from a lawsuit filed by the liberal group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, referred to a Civil War-era clause prohibiting those who engaged in “insurrection” from holding higher office. The case was originally assigned to a Denver judge who recused himself for a conflict of interest. While Trump’s legal team moved the case to federal court, the plaintiffs will argue that it should be heard first in state court. The group says it will also ask for a speedy ruling on the issue before the Republican primary ballot is finalized on January 5th. On Friday, Trump himself slammed the organization, saying it’s affiliated with his critics and people he clashed with while president.
