1 The First Republican Debate Was Last Night While Trump Was With Tucker Carlson On Twitter

The first Republican presidential debate aired last night on Fox News without former president Donald Trump on the stage, but that didn’t mean it was a conflict-free event. There was plenty of bickering between the candidates, and according to the NBC News Attack Tracker, Vivek Ramaswamy both made the most attacks on others and received the most attacks from the candidates on stage. While President Joe Biden was attacked the most as expected, the concept of “wokeness” was only mentioned once during the debate. While the debate was airing live, a prerecorded interview with Trump and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson was released on X, formerly known as Twitter. Carlson started the interview by asking Trump why he wasn’t at the debate, and Trump responded by pointing out the low polling numbers of some of the candidates on the stage and saying they “shouldn’t even be running for president.” In the first four hours after it was posted, the Carlson-Trump video had already amassed almost 90 million views according to the visible metrics on the X post.

2 Rudy Guiliani, Sidney Powell, Jenna Ellis Surrendered For Arrest Yesterday, Trump Set To Surrender Today

Several of the 18 co-defendants of former President Donald Trump turned themselves in yesterday in Georgia. Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani turned himself in for arraignment on racketeering charges alleging he meddled in the 2020 presidential election in Georgia. After he was booked at the Fulton County jail, a CNN camera crew caught footage of Giuliani making a stop at a 2nd Chance Bail Bonds location; Giuliani had a $150,000 bond set by a judge. As he was leaving the jail, he told a group of reporters that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis “will go down in American history as having conducted one of the worst attacks on the American Constitution ever when this case is dismissed.” Also turning themselves in yesterday to be arrested in the case were former Trump campaign lawyers Sydney Powell and Jenna Ellis. All three were processed, and their mug shots were released. Trump is expected to turn himself in today for arrest, and Georgia authorities have said he’ll be treated no differently than any other person charged with a crime.

3 Multiple Shootings Happened Around The Country Yesterday

Several attacks yesterday resulted in multiple people dead in Pennsylvania and California and a mother dead in New York City. A gunman allegedly opened fire in Pittsburgh’s Garfield neighborhood yesterday after he was served with an eviction notice. When officials arrived to serve the court-ordered notice, the still-unidentified suspect opened fire, leading to a standoff that lasted for several hours. The situation ended when police killed the gunman, and Allegheny County Sheriff Kevin Kraus told the media during a briefing yesterday afternoon that the only injury during the gunfight was suffered when a deputy received a head wound while taking cover from gunfire. Gunfire erupted at a popular biker bar in Orange County, California last night. Six people were taken to hospitals, with five reporting gunshot wounds. Three people died from their injuries, and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to ABC News that the shooter was dead. Police responded to a report of an assault in progress in a Brooklyn apartment yesterday afternoon and found three victims in a second-floor apartment. The 43-year-old woman found was pronounced dead, while her five-year-old and three-year-old children were critically injured. Authorities say the family’s roommate attacked them with a hammer, and was no relation to the family. The suspect was arrested as he was trying to leave the building, and neither the attacker or the victims have been identified by police.
