1 Chinese Balloons Appear To Be Part Of Broader Spying Operation

The suspected Chinese surveillance balloon that flew over the U.S. last week is believed to be part of a larger spying operation. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said it's part of a fleet of balloons used to conduct surveillance and have “violated the sovereignty” of other countries across several continents. Pentagon officials sa the Chinese government has been trying to observe several key military sites in the U.S. Reports say about half a dozen balloons have been within U.S. airspace in the past several years. The balloon was shot down off the coast of the Carolinas and debris is being recovered. Meanwhile, President Biden says he doesn’t think shooting down the balloon will impact relations between the countries. However, China is requesting the balloon that was shot down be returned to them.

The World Health Organization is warning of a "long-term" impact on health after a major earthquake in Turkey and Syria. 3 Michael Irvin Pulled From NFL Network Super Bowl Coverage After Incident With Woman

Michael Irvin is being pulled from the NFL Network’s Super Bowl coverage this week following an incident he had with a woman in Arizona Sunday night. The former Dallas Cowboy-turned-TV-personality told the Dallas Morning News the encounter happened at a hotel near the site of this weekend's game. Irvin says he returned to the property after a night of partying and says he spoke with the woman in the lobby for less than a minute and described the encounter as “almost entirely non-physical”. The woman, however, seems to have a different memory of the interaction. Irvin says he's been left "perplexed" by the accusation, explaining he hardly even remembers talking to her. "When I got back after going out … I came into the lobby, and I talked to somebody," Irvin said. "I talked to this girl. I don't know her, and I talked to her for about 45 seconds. Irvin insists no one came into his room with him and ended his thought by saying, “I don’t know. I don’t know what this is, and it’s running me crazy."
