1 Powerball: One Ticket Won It All...More Than $2B

Somebody in Southern California is a billionaire after winning the latest Powerball jackpot. The California Lottery has confirmed that “one lucky ticket” was sold in Altadena, northeast of Los Angeles. The cash value? A hearty $997.6-million. It matched all five numbers: are 10, 33, 41, 47 and 56 and the Powerball of 10 to win just over two-billion dollars. Monday night's drawing was delayed due to technical issues. But once the numbers were revealed, it was also confirmed that aside from the big winner, there was one ticket sold in Florida to win $2-million – and 22 more that will pocket $1-million. All this means that the jackpot’s reset to $20-million…good luck!

2 Election 2022: No Red Wave? No ANY Wave

While a number of races have yet to be called, one thing appears clear: that America is a divided as it is wanting normalcy. By all accounts, more moderate positions tended to hold or win their seats – and in the end, it appears Democrats will hold the Senate. But in the House? A razor-thin margin appears to be tilting toward the GOP – still it’s nowhere near the “red wave” many were expecting. But to ask former President Trump, the credit may – or may not – get the credit. In an interview with NewsNation, Trump was asked about the more than 330 candidates he endorsed – and his level of responsibility for how they finished their respective races. His response? “Well, I think if they win, I should get all the credit,” he told Markie Martin. “If they lose, I should not be blamed at all.” As for some of the higher profile races: It appears that Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman has defeated Republican Mehmet Oz for a highly contested U.S. Senate seat – flipping the Keystone State from red to blue. He will replace Republican Senator Pat Toomey, who opted not to seek re-election. Down in Georgia, the controversies surrounding Republican Herschel Walker appears to have given Democratic incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock the edge. Still, the two candidates are virtually tied – and unless one of them hits the magic number of 50%, there will be a runoff. At last check, Warnock was at 49.42% and Walker was at 48.52%. If a runoff is needed, it will be held on December 6th.

3 Nicole Expected To Strengthen Into Hurricane

Tropical Storm Nicole is expected to strengthen into a hurricane as it approaches parts of Florida. The previously subtropical storm was upgraded yesterday. Much of the state's west coast is under a storm watch, while the system could make landfall along the east coast. The storm currently has maximum sustained winds of about 65 miles per hour. A tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. The NWS expects Nicole to reach hurricane strength tonight as it makes landfall on our east coast as a Category One. Forecasters say conditions will rapidly deteriorate into this afternoon. Part of Volusia County is under a Mandatory Evacuation Order. The county issued the order for those who are east of the Intracoastal Waterway, those in manufactured or mobile homes east of I-95, those in low-lying areas prone to flooding and all campsites and RV parks.
