2 Suspect In Canadian Stabbing Attacks Dies Following Arrest

One of two suspects in multiple stabbing attacks in Canada on Sunday was arrested on Wednesday afternoon, and police announced a few hours later that he had died in custody. Myles Sanderson was arrested after police received a report that he was armed with a knife and outside a residence, where he stole a white SUV. After a chase, police forced the vehicle into the ditch and arrested Sanderson. At a press conference on Wednesday evening, Rhonda Blackmore, assistant commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Saskatchewan said that Sanderson went into “medical distress” shortly after being arrested; an official told the Associated Press that he died of self-inflicted wounds. The other suspect in the attacks that left 10 dead and 19 people injured, Damien Sanderson, was found dead on Monday from wounds authorities say did not appear to be self-inflicted.

3 4 dead, 3 wounded in 'senseless murder rampage' across Memphis that forced residents inside

A 19-year-old man was in custody Wednesday in a series of shootings, including one broadcast on social media, that left four dead, three wounded and the city of Memphis on edge, police said. The suspected shooter was identified by police as Ezekiel Dejuan Kelly. He was apprehended around 9:20 p.m., more than two hours after police issued an urgent warning that prompted calls for residents of the Tennessee city of around 630,000 to stay indoors. “Many families were shattered tonight,” Shelby County Sheriff Floyd Bonner Jr. said at a news conference early Thursday. The identities of the victims have not been released. It was not immediately clear if the suspect knew any of the victims. "Numerous" felony charges were pending against Kelly but he had not been officially charged early Thursday, police said. Police responded to the first shooting around 1 a.m. Wednesday when a man was found fatally shot in a driveway, police said. The shootings continued around 4:30 p.m. Memphis police tweeted an urgent alert around 7 p.m. warning that an armed man was responsible for multiple shootings.
