The Pentagon is sending Ukraine another big weapons shipment. Spokesman John Kirby said the $100-million shipment includes Howitzers, artillery components and tactical vehicles. Meanwhile, the latest big Ukraine aid bill is headed to President Biden's desk after easy passage by the Senate. The roughly $40-billion package provides additional security and humanitarian aid to help Ukraine withstand the ongoing invasion by Russia. On a related note, the majority of Americans believe sending aid to Ukraine is a "good idea." A poll conducted this week found only 20% say it's a bad idea, while 18% were unsure. In all, six out of ten respondents were in favor of financially assisting the country. The Economist/YouGov poll analyzed answers from 15-hundred U.S. citizens. A similar poll by ABC News and The Washington Post in April found 76% of Americans were in support of providing aid to Ukraine.
