1 Weekend Mass Shootings In NY, SoCal

The Buffalo Police Commissioner says there is no mistake Saturday's deadly mass shooting is a "vicious hate crime." Officials say 13 people were shot and ten killed when an 18-year-old white gunman opened fire at the Tops grocery store. Buffalo Police Chief Joseph Gramaglia said investigators are looking at the online history of the suspect, who is charged with first-degree murder, as he reportedly drove for more than two-hours to do ‘recon’ at the location. He apparently targeted the primarily Black population as well. Meanwhile, one person is dead and five others are hurt after a church shooting in Southern California. The shooting took place during a lunch banquet at the church – and so far, there’s no motive. The Orange County Sheriff's Department said a lone gunman opened fire at the Geneva Presbyterian church before being taken down by congregants and hogtied until police arrived and took him into custody, The suspect is described as an "Asian male" is in custody, and police say they’ve also recovered the weapon involved.

2 Biden Administration Working To End Baby Formula Shortage

The nationwide shortage of baby formula has the attention of the "highest levels" of the Biden administration. That’s according to Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. Who said during an appearance on CBS' “Face the Nation,” that criticism from Republicans isn’t fair. He noted the government doesn't make formula, and pointed to efforts like creating more flexibility with the WIC program and the possibility of importing formula from other countries. He said the government is working with suppliers to surge production and help ease shortages until that plant can come online safely.

3 Biden Approval Rating Hits Low In NBC News Poll

President Biden's job approval rating is hitting another low. A new NBC News survey found just 39% of Americans approved of Biden's job as president while 56% said they disapproved. Just 33% of Americans said they approved of the president's handling of the economy as inflation continues to soar, while 23% approved of Biden's handling of the cost of living. As far as Ukraine, 41% approve of Biden's handling of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and 59% approved of his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
