1 Biden Again Condemns Russian Invasion, As Russia Suggests Pullback
The White House is skeptical about Russia that they’re scaling back ground forces from around the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv and the northern city of Chernihiv. When pressed about the news during a White House photo op President Biden offered, "Let's just see" what Russia has to offer. Meeting with the prime minister of Singapore at the White House, Biden again condemned the Russian invasion. He called it a brutal, unjustified military assault. Biden said it's an ongoing attack on core international principles of peace and security. Later during a press briefing at the Pentagon, spokesman John Kirby said no one should be listening to Russia’s claims with any expectation of reality. “Small numbers of Russian military troops have moved away…,but the Pentagon believes that's not a true withdrawal,” Kirby noted. “We believe this is a repositioning, not a real withdrawal, and that we all should be prepared to watch for a major offensive against other areas of Ukraine.”
2 Jan 6 Committee Reveals Missing White House Call Logs
He once promised to have the “most transparent administration in history,” but the Trump White House has proven to be less than that – certainly as it relates to White House record keeping. Aside from removing boxes of materials upon his departure, a number of documents that were returned were reportedly torn up…and had to be taped together. Now the issue is call logs – specifically those from January 6th, 2021. The issue? The logs show a gap of more than seven-hours on January 6th.As such, the January 6th committee is now investigating whether Trump communicated through "burner phones" during that period and whether there's been a "possible coverup." That’s because a number of published reports have Mr. Trump on the phone quite a lot during that time. The investigation continues.
