3 Things To Know Today

1 Biden Admin Withdraws Large Employer Vaccine Or Test Mandate

The Biden Administration's vaccine-or-test mandate for large businesses is no more. Following the Supreme Court’s refusal to allow it’s implementation, the White House has withdrawn the order. Had the rule gone into effect, businesses with 100 or more workers would've been forced to have their employees vaccinated against coronavirus or have them tested each week. SCOTUS ruled the mandate went too far. But the other reason the administration is backing off? That many companies are putting their own rules in place. Among the companies telling at least some of their employees to get vaxxed or be tested regularly? They include American Express, CVS Health, Delta Airlines, Ford, Google, McDonald's, Microsoft, Tyson Foods, and Walmart. For the record, ome of these companies had put their requirement into place before the administration crafted their mandate.

2 DOJ Official: Feds Looking At Fake 2020 Elector Certificates

Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco says the Justice Department is weighing criminal charges over fake Electoral College certifications in the 2020. The fake certificates – which reported Trump as the winner in several states then-candidate Joe Biden won – were sent to the National Archives by former President Trump's allies in December of 2020. Monaco didn't say what exactly prosecutors are reviewing, but added that the department would follow where the facts lead "to address conduct that is part of an assault on our democracy." "We've received those referrals,” Monaco offered. “Our prosecutors are looking at those and I can't say anything more on ongoing investigations.”

3 Biden: No Intention To Put U.S. Forces In Ukraine

President Biden says he has “no intention” to deploy U.S. military forces to Ukraine. Talking with reporters on an outing, Biden again warned of "enormous consequences" if Russia chooses to invade Ukraine. He said it would be the "largest invasion since World War Two" and could "change the world." Russia has massed more than 100-thousand troops on its border with Ukraine. As we told you yesterday, roughly 85-hundred U.S. troops are on standby for possible deployment to Eastern Europe and the Baltic region. They would join troops from other NATO allies in the region. Speaking of allies, the leader of France is stepping in to talk to President Vladimir Putin about the tensions between Russia and Ukraine. French President Emmanuel Macron says he’ll have a phone call with Putin on Friday. It comes after President Biden had a call with many European leaders Monday night about the escalating tensions between the two eastern European nations.
