3 "Rust" Assistant Dir. Previously Fired From Movie After Gun Incident

The movie set-shooting involving Alec Baldwin is facing a lot scrutiny – from law enforcement, the public – and the entertainment industry alike. While no charges have been filed as yet, the investigation is continuing – and now we’re hearing that the microscope is being trained on Assistant Director Dave Hall. Hall is the last person to handle the weapon that Baldwin ultimately fired – resulting in the death of Halyna Hutchins and injury of director Joel Souza. According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” this isn’t the first time Hall has run into trouble on a set when firearms were involved. In fact, he was previously fired from a movie for a gun incident. Hall was working on the film "Freedom's Path" in 2019 when a gun "unexpectedly discharged," injuring a sound crew member and halting production of the movie. The company says Halls was removed from the set after that incident and was fired. They added he was remorseful for what happened and understood why he was terminated.
