1 NY Governor Cuomo To Exit Governor’s Chair In Two Weeks
Sure, he had suggested he wouldn’t go without a fight, but it would appear that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has finally come to the realization that with an impeachment process and criminal charges looming, there really is no path forward for him politically. What happens next remains to be seen, but Cuomo will be officially ‘out’ in two weeks. Power will be transferred to Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul once the resignation goes into effect in 14 days. While this stops the impeachment process, it doesn't change the potential criminal charges currently being considered. In making his exit, Cuomo is offering a mixture of denials and apologies. He also said "the best way" he can help is by stepping aside and "let government get back to governing." But he also blasted the report that led him to this point as ‘politically motivated.'

3 Covid On The Rise In Kids, As Israeli Researcher Say They've Got A Treatment
COVID-19 is spreading among children and the American Academy of Pediatrics is sounding the alarm. The organization's president, Dr. Lee Savio Beers, tells ABC News vaccines are a commonsense way to slow the spread. The Academy reports there were nearly 94-thousand cases in children across the nation in the week ending August 5th. That's 15 percent of all new cases. It still appears severe illness is uncommon in children, although the long-term effects are unknown. Meanwhile, researchers in Israel are touting a treatment that they say successfully treats Covid in 90% of patients. Currently in Phase II of a trial, the drug reportedly saw some 29 out of 30 patients, moderate to serious, recover within days.
