NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico and once out of the SpaceX capsule after their historic mission? The jumped out of the capsule and into the waters near Pensacola, Florida. They were the first astronauts to blast off from the U.S. in almost a decade. The men capped a two-month mission to the International Space Station. NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine calls it "a great day for the agency and the United States of America." Bridenstine said the commercial partnership marks the start of a new era in human space flight where NASA becomes a customer instead of owning and operating all the hardware.
