Each week, the Texas country band is hosting "Lyric Mondays," which launches a weekly online auction of lyrics handwritten by frontman Randy Rogers. A portion of the proceeds will go to an organization in need based off fan suggestions. Last week, Rogers said the auction of lyrics from "In My Arms Instead" generated a "pretty sizeable" donation that went to HungrySouls.org "Basically what I'm going to be doing is playing a song, or a little bit of a song, sitting down and writing down the lyrics and signing them and personalizing them," the singer said in a clip posted on Facebook. Rogers said he's seen the news coverage of the San Antonio Food Bank's efforts and said Comal County, where he lives, is also part of the 16-county service area. The song chosen to help benefit the food bank is fittingly "San Antone," the 2016 ode to the city which mentions a muse from Poteet, the Alamo and Frio Street. Bidders must create an account on the Randy Rogers Band online store and verify an email address. The auction for the "San Antone" lyrics ends at noon on Friday. Whoever wins will be sent an email immediately with instructions for lyric personalization. A new song will be posted each Monday for "several" weeks to come, the band says online. !!!
