Neil Diamond released a remix of “Sweet Caroline” with changed lyrics Sunday in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic to help boost people’s spirits. Diamond changed the lyrics of the well-known song to fit the time of social distancing and released it on Twitter. “Hands, washing hands, reaching out. Don’t touch me. I won’t touch you,” he sings in a video before diving into the chorus. The original lyrics are “Hands, touching hands, reaching out, touching me, touching you.” Diamond is not the only artist to jump at the opportunity to tweak a song as many Americans remain quarantined in their homes.
