SAFN Video Of The Day

SPIKE LEE went on ESPN yesterday to complain about how the New York Knicks are savagely mistreating him . . . after he's been a season ticket-holder for 28 years. So what's his gripe?Security stopped him after he scanned his ticket on Monday night, and told him that he could no longer use the EMPLOYEE entrance. Spike says he's been using that entrance for decades . . . and instead of calling to tell him about the change in policy, they embarrassed him by stopping him . . . telling him to leave . . . and come back in through another entrance. Spike says he's so infuriated that he won't go to any more Knicks games this season.Although, he will be back next season.Oh, and just to be clear:Spike is NOT an employee of the Knicks.Just a rich fan. The Knicks said, quote, "The idea that Spike Lee is a victim because we have repeatedly asked him to not use our employee entrance and instead use a dedicated VIP entrance, which is used by every other celebrity, is laughable . . ."It's disappointing that Spike would create this false controversy to perpetuate drama. He is welcome to come to The Garden anytime via the VIP or general entrance . . . just not through our employee entrance." Spike's old buddy Reggie Miller said, quote, "OOOOHHHHH [how] the MIGHTY have fallen. This wouldn't happen at [Indiana's] Bankers Life Fieldhouse, maybe it's finally time to switch your allegiance, Spike."
