1 Coronavirus Is Spreading Around The World
The coronavirus outbreak is spreading – but while some are inciting panic, there is still good news to be had. Here’s how it breaks down: South Korea is reporting that the number of confirmed cases has doubled for the third straight day – they are second only to China in the number of confirmed cases. Meanwhile, Europe has seen its first deaths because of COVID-19 when Italian officials announced two of their patients have died. Iranian officials have confirmed a sixth person has died in that country as Israel and Lebanon both have their first cases of the virus. So where’s the “good news?” The emergency alert level is being lowered in Wuhan as Chinese health officials assure the public that the coronavirus is being contained. But also, while there are more than 79-people currently infected worldwide and the death tally is at 26-hundred? Don’t forget that there are recoveries to consider: more than 25-thousand of them.
2 Trump Expected To Speak To His Largest Crowd Ever While In India
President Trump is set to address his largest crowd ever in India today. The rally will be the first event at the largest cricket stadium in the world with a maximum capacity of 110-thousand. The event, dubbed "Namaste Trump," is slated as a sequel to the Texas rally held last year "Howdy Modi," when 50-thousand Indian-Americans greeted Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his visit. According to reports, Trump was greeted by thousands of people lining the streets. It’s unclear if the president, who is on the trip with his wife and a 12-person official delegation, will make any official major policy announcements while in India. But something more amusing to ponder: What’s the President going to eat? After all, he’ll be there for two hands...and while he’s an avowed lover of burgers, meatloaf and steak...his menu will be beef-free. As a source close to the President tells CNN, “I’ve never seen him eat a vegetable.”
3 Officials Confirm Seven Hurt In Shooting At Houston Flea Market
A suspect is in custody after a shooting that injured seven people at a Houston flea market last night. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says that none of the victims were critically wounded, but that it could have been much worse. Sheriff Gonzalez said the flea market was packed with people – including children – because there was a dance going on. Apparently, one person was struck by the bullet, while the others appear to have been hit by ricocheting bullets. So far, the circumstances surrounding the shooting aren't known. The shooter’s identity hasn’t been confirmed. The investigation continues.
