Robert Plant Sang "The Immigrant Song" for the First Time Since 1996

These days when ROBERT PLANT does LED ZEPPELIN songs in concert, he usually does them in new arrangements. But during a recent gig in Iceland, he dusted off "The Immigrant Song", and he stayed pretty close to the original. It was the first time he'd played it live since a 1996 show with JIMMY PAGE. Granted, he shaved a few verses off, and didn't even attempt the screams. But still, it's Robert Plant belting out Zeppelin the way it was meant to be played. And how often do you see that anymore? "The Immigrant Song" was actually inspired by Zeppelin's first tour of Iceland in 1970.Plant once said, quote, "It made you think of Vikings and big ships, and bang, there it was."
