Powerful storms hit the western and northern parts of Oklahoma yesterday with several tornadoes were spotted before sundown, with one in the southwestern town of Mangum causing damage to homes and other structures. Tornado watches remain in effect for many parts of the state. The news isn’t much better in Texas, where grapefruit-sized hail was falling. Flooding is now the big worry in parts of Oklahoma hit with hard storms. This, as the National Weather Service confirmed that evacuations are underway for parts of Osage, Pawnee and Washington counties, where a flash flood emergency has been issued. Tulsa is also under a similar warning. In all, 66 counties are under a state of emergency.
