Amazon To Close All Pop-Up Stores

Shoppers Look For Bargains On Black Friday

Amazon is planning to close all of its pop-up stores next month. An Amazon spokesperson confirmed the move to CNBC today, saying the company will focus on opening book stores instead. Amazon operates kiosks at 87 locations including Whole Foods, Kohl's stores and malls around the U.S. The online retail giant is ending its year-long experiment in favor of expanding Amazon Books and Amazon 4-star stores. The closures won't affect cashierless Amazon Go stores.
