Science Finally Figured Out How to Deal with the Sound of a Dripping Faucet

Science has finally figured out why a leaky faucet makes such an annoying sound.  It has to do with a tiny air bubble that gets trapped under the surface in your drain every time a drop of water hits.  And if it's keeping you up at night, a little dish soap down the drain should alter the surface tension, and lessen the sound.
