Turkey Prices Up 73 Percent Over Last Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving dinner is going to be more expensive this year. Turkey prices are 73-percent higher than last year and analysts say they could stay that way through the holiday. It's largely due to the spread of bird flu, which led to a smaller supply. Higher feed costs and a labor shortage also factored in to the increase in price. The USDA says the cost of an eight-to-16-pound turkey is a-dollar-99-cents-a-pound, compared to a-dollar-15 last year.
