Gov. Greg Abbott is pushing back against criticism of his policy of busing migrants from the Texas border to sanctuary cities up north. A busload of more than 100 were dropped off on a frigid Christmas Eve near Vice President Kamala Harris's home in Washington, D.C. Abbott tweeted on Tuesday that nearly 16-thousand migrants have been sent to sanctuary cities. Almost nine-thousand have gone to Washington, with lesser numbers sent to New York City, Chicago, and Philadelphia. Abbott says the idea is to provide relief to border communities "overwhelmed by President Biden's open-border policies."
