Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is working to stop a new Department of Homeland Security border rule from taking effect. Paxton filed a motion for a preliminary injunction on Monday to prevent the implementation of the rule, which he says unlawfully makes it easier for illegal immigrants to enter the country through false asylum claims. Paxton claims the Biden administration is unconstitutionally trying to bring "a mass influx" of illegal immigrants into the country.
