Govenor Greg Abbott says Texas may challenge a 1982 U.S. Supreme Court decision that requires states to offer free public education to all children, including those of illegal immigrants. The governor says the case known as Plyler v. Doe was a lawsuit Texas filed against the federal government over the costs of the education program. Abbott says the Supreme Court ruled against the state on the issue, but he believes it's time to raise the challenge again, because the situation has changed in 40-years.
