Pentagon spokesman John Kirby says tension between Russia and Ukraine is reaching a "crescendo." Appearing on Fox News Sunday, Kirby noted the rapid buildup of Russian forces along the Ukrainian border in the past few days. He also said that a lack of change in the dynamic between President Biden and Russian President Putin after yesterday's phone call didn't give the administration "any cause for optimism." While Kirby couldn't confirm German reports that an invasion was set for Wednesday, he did say that a major military action could happen "any day now." He also called on Americans still in Ukraine to evacuate while roads and airports were open.
