Texas Senator John Cornyn is among Republicans looking to convince West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin to switch parties. Cornyn told Nexstar Tuesday that he sent a text to Manchin telling him that if the Democrats don't want him, the GOP does. Manchin has faced backlash from fellow Dems after he announced last weekend that he would not vote for President Biden's Build Back Better Bill. A party switch from Manchin would give the Republicans the majority in the Senate.
