A Republican state legislator is investigating what types of books are being offered by Texas school districts. State Rep. Matt Krause notified the Texas Education Agency on Monday that he's conducting an inquiry into Texas school district book content. His letter to the agency includes a 16-page list of about 850 book titles dealing with racial and sexual matters. He wants to know if districts have these books, how many copies, and how much they cost. Krause is from Fort Worth, and is running for state attorney general against Ken Paxton.
