The City of San Antonio is looking to crack down on spectators at illegal street racing events. The City Council is considering an ordinance that would fine anyone caught watching street racing five-hundred-dollars. San Antonio police say officers have responded to more than two-hundred street-racing events since September of last year, making 116 arrests. Chief William McManus hopes the ordinance will serve as a further deterrent to street racing, saying the crowds help fuel the events.
