A Democratic state representative from Round Rock says the proposed redistricting map is prompting him to move to Austin. State Rep. James Talarico stated on Wednesday he plans to run for reelection in House District 50 because his District 52 is being redrawn in favor of the GOP. The Democratic incumbent in District 50, Celia Israel, plans to run for mayor of Austin. Talarico's campaign has the support of Beto O'Rourke, Wendy Davis, and Joaquin Castro, who among them have lost races for governor, the Senate, and the presidency.
