Texas Supreme Court Denies Request To Resume Lawsuit Against Abortion Law

The Texas Supreme Court is denying a request from Planned Parenthood to allow their lawsuit against the state's six-week abortion ban to proceed. The organization asked the court to resume their suit after it was indefinitely paused last week by the Texas Multidistrict Litigation Panel. The Texas Tribune reports the panel put 14 lawsuits against the ban on hold following a request from anti-abortion group Texas Right to Life. In a statement, Planned Parenthood called the court's decision "extremely disappointing."
