Governor Abbott's office is voicing its opposition to President Biden's new COVID vaccine mandate. Abbott spokesperson Renae Eze accused the Biden Administration of "trying to run private businesses," and said Texans and Americans do not need the federal government to tell them how to protect themselves from the virus. President Biden announced a new executive order yesterday requiring vaccinations for federal workers and businesses with more than 100 employees. Those who do not get vaccinated will be subject to weekly testing. Eze said the governor's office and Attorney General Ken Paxton are planning legal action against the president's mandate.
